| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph "Joe" Sherman of Alton, who passed | 4 | | away on February 13, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Sherman was born in Alton to William and | 6 | | Ottila (Wickenhauser) Sherman on August 20, 1954; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Sherman worked for Alton Local #218 prior | 8 | | to his retirement in 1994; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Sherman was a past member of the Back Door | 10 | | Men Motorcycle Club; he enjoyed riding his Harley and spending | 11 | | time with family and friends; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Sherman was preceded in death by his | 13 | | parents and his brother, James Chaney; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Sherman is survived by his children and | 15 | | their spouses, Rob and Angie Sherman, Monica Sherman, Joe and | 16 | | Theresa Sherman, and Shawn and Kim Sherman; his grandchildren, | 17 | | Phillip and Zachary Sherman; and his siblings and their | 18 | | spouses, William and Evelyn Sherman, Rosalie and Gary Boyd, | 19 | | Robert Chaney, Marilyn Chaney, Mike and Cindy Chaney, and Tom | 20 | | and Elizabeth Chaney; therefore, be it
