| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Albert C. "Butch" Fisher of Decatur, who | 4 | | passed away on October 18, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Albert Fisher was born in Decatur to Everett | 6 | | Charles and Juanita McDaniel Fisher on October 6, 1943; he | 7 | | graduated from Atwood-Hammond High School and received his | 8 | | agriculture degree from Southern Illinois University; he | 9 | | served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married | 10 | | Sherlyn Sue Sykes at the Hammond United Methodist Church on | 11 | | November 24, 1968; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Albert Fisher farmed and worked for Kemper | 13 | | Insurance and Morton Buildings; he was a resource | 14 | | conservationist for the Douglas County Soil and Water | 15 | | Conservation District; he traveled to many schools and events | 16 | | with his rainfall simulator and promoted no-till farming | 17 | | methods prior to his retirement; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Albert Fisher was a member of the Hammond United | 19 | | Methodist Church, a 50-year member of the Bement Masonic Lodge | 20 | | #365, AF & AM, and a board member of the Piatt County Soil and | 21 | | Water Conservation District; he was a former president of the | 22 | | Atwood-Hammond School Board and a trustee of the Hammond |

| 1 | | Village Board; he was an avid horseman and was a member of the | 2 | | American Road Horse Association; his greatest joy was spending | 3 | | time with his grandchildren; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Albert Fisher was preceded in death by his | 5 | | parents; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Albert Fisher is survived by his wife of nearly 50 | 7 | | years, Sherlyn; his son, Chuck (Shelly) Fisher; his daughter, | 8 | | Carmen (Mark) Hamilton; his grandchildren, Carly, Chase, and | 9 | | Camry Fisher and Andrew and Caitlyn Hamilton; his sister, | 10 | | Patricia Heit; and his brother, Bill (Ellie) Miller; therefore, | 11 | | be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 14 | | Albert C. "Butch" Fisher and extend our sincere condolences to | 15 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 16 | | further
