| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Charles L. Nack of Hampshire, who passed | 4 | | away on July 23, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Nack was born to Leon and Ruth Nack on | 6 | | July 23, 1949; he graduated from Carl Schurz High School in | 7 | | Chicago and United States Air Force Basic Training and Aircraft | 8 | | Mechanic Technical School; during the Vietnam War, he served as | 9 | | an instructor with the U.S. Air Force in Japan and stateside; | 10 | | he married Elizabeth in 1976; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Following his military service, Charles Nack | 12 | | worked as a millwright for Local Union 1693, retiring after | 13 | | over 40 years of service; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Charles Nack was an avid fisherman, beekeeper, and | 15 | | woodworker; he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States; | 16 | | he had an adventurous spirit and sought out unique experiences, | 17 | | including staying in an ice house, dog sledding, and riding in | 18 | | hot air balloons and glider planes; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Charles Nack is survived by his wife of 40 years, | 20 | | Elizabeth; his son, Mark (Laura) Nack; his sister, Kathie | 21 | | Hertel; his brother-in-law, Fred (Sue) Solleder; his |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Charles L. Nack, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
