| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of H. Blake Finch of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on April 6, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Blake Finch was born in Savannah, Georgia on July | 6 | | 6, 1944; he was the son of Braxton and Becky (Gober) Finch; he | 7 | | attended Southern Illinois University; he served in the U.S. | 8 | | Air Force during the Vietnam War; he married Debbie in Port | 9 | | Byron on October 20, 1973; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Blake Finch moved from Granite City to the Quad | 11 | | Cities area to work for National Steel; he worked as the | 12 | | Admissions Manager at The Quad City Downs to meet people in the | 13 | | area; while working at The Quad City Downs, he was introduced | 14 | | to the Duffys, who later offered him a position with their | 15 | | company, Per Mar Security; he retired as vice president of | 16 | | Electronic Security at Per Mar Security after 35 years of | 17 | | service; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Blake Finch was best known for his love of | 19 | | photography and videography, and he was never seen without a | 20 | | camera in hand; he could always be found taking pictures and | 21 | | video of ball games, sporting events, and all things important | 22 | | to friends and family; he cherished his children; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Blake Finch was preceded in death by his father | 2 | | and stepmother, Braxton and Regina Finch; his mother and | 3 | | stepfather, Becky and Charlie Hicks; and his brother, Wayne | 4 | | Finch; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Blake Finch is survived by his wife, Debbie; his | 6 | | children, Jennifer (Matt) Drobney, Kelly Finch, and James | 7 | | Booth; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Brendan, Braxton, | 8 | | Mattie, and Elizabeth; his sisters, Cindy (Brian) Sheehan and | 9 | | Lynn Mitchell; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be | 10 | | it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | H. Blake Finch and extend our sincere condolences to his | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
