| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Stephen M. Berg of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on September 19, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg was born in Milan to Norman R. and | 6 | | Betty J. Hall Berg on December 18, 1949; he served in the U.S. | 7 | | Marine Corps and married Dorothy Boddie in Las Vegas on April | 8 | | 21, 1991; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg worked as an electrician for 35 years | 10 | | at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg enjoyed helping the less fortunate, | 12 | | especially around the holidays; he loved traveling and camping | 13 | | and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and St. Louis | 14 | | Cardinals; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg was preceded in death by his father, | 16 | | Norman Berg; his daughter, Jessica M. Beinke; his sister, Diane | 17 | | Berg; and his brother, Robbie Berg; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Stephen Berg is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his | 19 | | children, Amanda (Kevin) Greer, Kristy (Barry) Peiffer, | 20 | | Stephanie (Brandon) Ross, Stephen Berg, and Shane J. Benedict; |

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Stephen M. Berg and extend our sincere condolences to his | 7 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
