| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James H. Sankey Jr.; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, James Sankey was born to Earlene Britton and
James | 5 | | H. Sankey Sr. on March 21, 1955; he attended Richard T. Crane | 6 | | High School and married Juanita on May 26, 1973; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, James Sankey held positions with the United States | 8 | | Postal Service and the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook
| 9 | | County; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James Sankey was a dedicated and compassionate | 11 | | caregiver to his mother; he was chivalrous and charismatic, | 12 | | which was apparent during his time with Julie and then Sheila; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, James Sankey was active in the Jehovah's Witness | 15 | | faith; he enjoyed boxing and training with Thomas Hearns, | 16 | | martial arts, nutritional wellness, and protecting his family | 17 | | and friends; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, James Sankey is survived by his mother, Earlene; | 19 | | his father, James Sr. (Desiree); his sisters,
La Vese (Glenn) | 20 | | and Shirley (Derrick); his stepbrother, Sean; his stepsisters, |

Brandy, | 5 | | Javaris, Amani, Kilye, Layla, Justice, and Simone; and four | 6 | | great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kaiden, Kinnedi, and Kaileb; and | 7 | | a multitude of family and friends; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | James H. Sankey Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
