| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Michael Lee Frye of Rosewood Heights, who | 4 | | passed away on May 15, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frye was born in St. Louis, Missouri to | 6 | | George and June (Villinger) Ogilive on September 6, 1944; a | 7 | | veteran of the United States Army, he served in Germany from | 8 | | 1967 until 1968; he graduated from the Vocational Technical | 9 | | Institute in Carbondale and then worked for Shell Oil for 25 | 10 | | years before retiring in 1995; he also owned Frye Upholstery in | 11 | | Rosewood Heights; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frye served on the Board of Directors for | 13 | | Midwest Members Credit Union for 38 years, including 29 as the | 14 | | Chairman; he was a member of the State CUPAC Board, where he | 15 | | was the current treasurer; he was a founding member of the | 16 | | Downs Syndrome Association of Southern Illinois; he was also a | 17 | | member of the Wood River Masonic Lodge #1062 and very active in | 18 | | DeMolay; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frye had a passion for motor sports and | 20 | | spent many years racing dirt bikes at Splinter Creek Motorcycle | 21 | | Club and his own cars with the Sports Car Club of America; he | 22 | | was active in the FBI Car Club and a member of the Piasa Street |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frye was preceded in death by his parents | 3 | | and his brother-in-law, Jerry Ehlers; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frye is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his | 5 | | daughters, Jill (David) Oller and Cory Frye; his grandchild, | 6 | | Riley Oller; his sisters-in-law, Marsha Ehlers and Mila | 7 | | Biermann; his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Dave | 8 | | Youngberg; and his dear friend, Bev Thomas; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Michael Lee Frye and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Michael Frye as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
