| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Ed Hall of Harvard, who passed away on | 4 | | March 15, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ed Hall was born to Fred and Dorothy (Frizzell) | 6 | | Hall on September 3, 1953; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Ed Hall was an accomplished musician; he was a | 8 | | guitar teacher, a prolific performer throughout the Midwest, | 9 | | and a producer of 206 shows at the Woodstock Opera House over | 10 | | the past 35 years; aside from his solo work, he was half of the | 11 | | group "Friedlander and Hall" from 1973 to the present; he was | 12 | | also the guitar player for the Celtic-Eclectic Folk Band | 13 | | "Trillium"; in 1991, he won the National Fingerpicking Guitar | 14 | | Championship; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ed Hall was very proud to be an Eagle Scout; he | 16 | | was an avid canoer, marathon runner, and competitive tennis | 17 | | player; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Ed Hall was preceded in death by his parents and | 19 | | his father-in-law, Albert Vanderstappen; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Ed Hall is survived by his loving wife of 19 |

| 1 | | years, Debbie Hall; his sons, Ethan (Elisa) Hall and Skyler | 2 | | Hall (Nisi Rockcastle); his grandsons, Arlo and Everette, with | 3 | | another grandchild on the way; his brother, Ken (Diana) Hall; | 4 | | his niece, Sarah Hall; his nephew, Ben Hall; his mother-in-law, | 5 | | Mary Vanderstappen; his sisters-in-law, Joan (Terry) Ward and | 6 | | Anita Turner; his nephew, Stuart (Jill) Turner; his nieces, | 7 | | Vanessa (Tim) McCalla and Ginny Turner; and his grandnephews | 8 | | and nieces, Brooklyn, Brody, Alyssa, Jack, and another on the | 9 | | way; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Ed Hall, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 13 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
