| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leslie Charles "Les" Olsen Jr., who | 4 | | passed away on May 8, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Les Olsen Jr. was born in McHenry to Susan | 6 | | (Speaker) and Leslie Charles Olsen Sr. on June 7, 1931; he | 7 | | served in the United States Navy; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Les Olsen Jr. was a construction supervisor for | 9 | | Tonyan Construction Company; he also worked as a union | 10 | | carpenter; along with his wife, Muriel, he owned and operated | 11 | | The Pineapple Inn Bed & Breakfast in Georgetown for many years; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Les Olsen Jr. served as past president of the | 14 | | Georgetown-Scott County Board of Tourism; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Les Olsen Jr. was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; his sister, Carol Kline; and his stepsons, Steve | 17 | | Houghton and Daniel John Walter; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Les Olsen Jr. is survived by his wife, Muriel; his | 19 | | sons, Jim (Jean) Olsen and Richard (Sharon) Olsen; his | 20 | | grandchildren, Kevin, David, Travis, Ben, Katie, Michael, |
