| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William John "Bill" Koch of Johnsburg, | 4 | | who passed away on March 20, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Koch was born in Chicago to Albert and | 6 | | Veronica Koch on February 8, 1931; the family moved to Fox | 7 | | Lake, and he graduated from Grant High School; after high | 8 | | school, he joined the United States Air Force; he served with | 9 | | various units in Europe, including the famed Sky Blazer | 10 | | Acrobatic Team; he married Rose Marie in 1961; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bill Koch worked as a Journeyman Plumber at | 12 | | Grossman Plumbing for 40 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Koch enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, | 14 | | snowmobiling, and sports; he was an avid fan of the Chicago | 15 | | Cubs and the Chicago Bears; he was very happy to see the Cubs | 16 | | in the World Series in 2016; he and his wife enjoyed many years | 17 | | of golf leagues, bowling leagues and enjoyed spending time with | 18 | | family and friends; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bill Koch was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | his sister, Alvernia (Bunny) Beskow; and his brothers, Thomas | 21 | | and Robert Koch; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bill Koch is survived by his wife, Rose Marie; his | 2 | | son, Edward Thomas Koch; his daughter, Eileen (Michael) Cruger; | 3 | | and his grandchildren, Erin Koch and Michael Cruger; therefore, | 4 | | be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | William John "Bill" Koch and extend our sincere condolences to | 8 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Bill Koch as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
