| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois | 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of William Edward VeZain of | 4 |
| Princeton on Sunday, April 3, 2005; and | 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born May 1, 1928, in Ottawa to Daniel and | 6 |
| Teresa (Leason) VeZain; he married Joyce Street on July 15, | 7 |
| 1950, at St. Columba Church in Ottawa; and | 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. VeZain had worked in sales for many years; he | 9 |
| was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Princeton, the | 10 |
| Princeton Elks Lodge, and Ducks Unlimited; and | 11 |
| WHEREAS, He valiantly served his country as a member of the | 12 |
| U.S. Army during the Korean War with the Illinois National | 13 |
| Guard; he was a waterfowl carver and donated many carvings to | 14 |
| the annual auctions for Ducks Unlimited; and | 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of William Edward VeZain has been | 16 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Joyce; his daughters, | 17 |
| Linda (Ed) Volkman, Denise Kitchen, DuAnne VeZain, and Michelle | 18 |
| (Mike) Atchison; his son, Tom VeZain; his sisters, Rachel Shay, | 19 |
| Eldora Herrera, and Daisy VeZain; his grandchildren, Michael, | 20 |
| Patrick, Kathryn, Brian, and Gracie; and his nieces and | 21 |
| nephews; therefore, be it | 22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 24 |
| William Edward VeZain, and we extend our deepest sympathy to | 25 |
| his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 26 |
| further
| 27 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest | 29 |
| sympathy.
