| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death Zachary A. "Zac" Short, who passed away on | 4 | | February 15, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was born in Phoenix to Richard and | 6 | | Judith (Austin) Short on June 18, 1990; he moved to Illinois | 7 | | with his family in 1997 and graduated from Minooka Community | 8 | | High School in 2008; he attended Arizona State University, | 9 | | where he studied in the digital culture program in the School | 10 | | of Arts, Media and Engineering; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short co-founded and operated an apparel | 12 | | printing business and worked in various capacities in the | 13 | | restaurant industry; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was an avid disc golfer and a loyal | 15 | | Chicago Cubs fan; he loved spending time with his family and | 16 | | friends, particularly his younger brother, Alexander, and his | 17 | | many cousins; he will be remembered for his constant smile and | 18 | | for his huge heart and willingness to help anyone he could; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short was preceded in death by his | 20 | | grandparents, Willard J. Short, William E. Austin Jr., and | 21 | | Geraldine A. Austin, and his uncle, Steven Allmandinger; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Zac Short is survived by his parents, Richard and | 2 | | Judith; his brother, Alexander; his grandmother, Eva M. Short; | 3 | | and several aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 6 | | Zachary A. "Zac" Short, and extend our sincere condolences to | 7 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 8 | | further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Zac Short as an expression of our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
