| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William E. Richey of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on September 10, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gene Richey was born to Lloyd and Ruby (Groves) | 6 | | Richey in Manassas, Virginia on November 24, 1932; he was a | 7 | | U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War; he | 8 | | married Nancy Houzenga in Silver City, New Mexico on August 16, | 9 | | 1954; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Gene Richey retired as Director of Engineering at | 11 | | Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Gene Richey enjoyed photography, playing games on | 13 | | the computer, and his cat; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Gene Richey was preceded in death by his parents, | 15 | | and his wife; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Gene Richey is survived by his children, Laurel | 17 | | Richey, Rebecca (Gary) Vinar, and Randell (Debby) Richey, and | 18 | | his grandchildren, William (Christine) Richey and Jaimie | 19 | | (Thomas) Caudill; therefore, be it
