| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Thomas I. Fraser Jr. of Prairie Grove, | 4 | | who passed away on January 26, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Fraser Jr. was born in Chicago to Thomas I. | 6 | | Fraser Sr. and Nell (Payne) Fraser on November 2, 1921; he | 7 | | earned his bachelor's degree from DePaul University and | 8 | | completed graduate coursework at Harvard University; he served | 9 | | in the United States Navy Pacific Theatre from 1943 until 1946; | 10 | | and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Tom Fraser Jr. was an electrician for the City of | 12 | | Chicago; after retirement, he worked at Mike's Service Center | 13 | | and Prairie Ridge High School; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Tom Fraser Jr. sang in a variety of groups, | 15 | | including the Paulist Choir, the Arlingtones and at St. Thomas | 16 | | of Villanova Church and Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Tom Fraser Jr. was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; and his granddaughter, Lisa Small; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Tom Fraser Jr. is survived by his wife, Patricia |

| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Thomas I. Fraser Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
