| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James William "Bill" Van Earwage of | 4 | | Moline, who passed away on August 11, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Van Earwage was born in Moline to Alphonse | 6 | | Michael and Virble Agnes (Jones) Van Earwage on December 11, | 7 | | 1934; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years; he | 8 | | married Mary Lou Spiess on August 28, 1973, and she preceded | 9 | | him in death on June 6, 2020; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Van Earwage served as a firefighter for the | 11 | | Moline Fire Department for 21 years; he worked for the Moline | 12 | | Public Hospital for 13 years; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Van Earwage belonged to a number of | 14 | | organizations, including the East End Club, the Friends Circle | 15 | | Club, and the American Legion; he enjoyed playing cards with | 16 | | his friends, dancing, and playing rolle bolle; he will be | 17 | | remembered for always being quick with a joke; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Bill Van Earwage was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; his wife; and his siblings, Edith, Joanne, Joyce, | 20 | | Jerry, Stephen, and Michael; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bill Van Earwage is survived by his son, Jeff | 2 | | (Liv) Van Earwage; his stepsons, Harlan (Cheryl) Waugh and | 3 | | Brett (Renee) Waugh; his grandchildren, Rachel, Aubrey (Axel), | 4 | | Taylor, Trent, Lauren, Dylan, and Miles; his | 5 | | great-granddaughter, Leah; and his brother, Philip Van | 6 | | Earwage; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | James William "Bill" Van Earwage and extend our sincere | 10 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 11 | | him; and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Bill Van Earwage as an expression of | 14 | | our deepest sympathy.
