| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert K. Ringoen of Reynolds, who passed | 4 | | away on January 22, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ringoen was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota | 6 | | to Kermit and Ruby Struck Ringoen on May 27, 1943; he served in | 7 | | the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and married | 8 | | Elizabeth "Ann" Thompson at St. Patrick's Church in rural | 9 | | Raritan on August 5, 1977; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ringoen worked as a diesel engine mechanic | 11 | | for over 30 years for the Hicklin GM Power Company in Milan, | 12 | | Interstate Detroit Diesel in Davenport, Iowa, and Tennant | 13 | | Trucking Inc. in Orion; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ringoen enjoyed volunteering at Reynolds | 15 | | American Legion Post 1166; he enjoyed doing yard work, taking | 16 | | walks, working on the Reynolds American Legion playground, | 17 | | gardening, and spending time with his family, including his | 18 | | grand and great-grandchildren; he was an avid NASCAR fan; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ringoen was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his brothers, Marvin and Ronald; his sister-in-law, | 21 | | Jeanie Ringoen; and his brother-in-law, Bob Nelson; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Robert Ringoen is survived by his wife, Elizabeth | 2 | | "Ann" Ringoen; his daughters, Sonia (John) Enderby, Heidi Carr, | 3 | | and Kristin (Matt) Dean; his grandchildren, Alaina, Isaiah, | 4 | | Dalton, Jackson, Henry, and George; his great-grandson, Keean; | 5 | | one great-granddaughter on the way; his siblings, Jean Nelson, | 6 | | Shirley (Terril) DeBerg, Sherri (Richard) Carpenter, John | 7 | | "Jack" Ringoen, and Mark Ringoen; several nieces, nephews, and | 8 | | great-nieces and nephews; and many in-laws; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Robert K. Ringoen, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
