| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of George W. Keckler Jr. of Taylor Ridge, | 4 | | who passed away on November 14, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, George Keckler was born to George W. Keckler Sr. | 6 | | and Lois F. Newberry Keckler in Iowa City, Iowa on December 11, | 7 | | 1933; he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; he | 8 | | married Peggy B. Simon in Springfield on February 8, 1969; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, George Keckler worked as a groundskeeper at the | 10 | | Isle of Capri Casino, Bettendorf; he had previously worked for | 11 | | Sivyer Steel, Bettendorf; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, George Keckler was an avid bowler and enjoyed | 13 | | gardening; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, George Keckler was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents; his wife; and several siblings; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, George Keckler is survived by his children and | 17 | | their spouses, Greg and Connie Duffield, Diana and Michael | 18 | | Skidmore, Deeni Leake, Daniel and Cynthia Duffield, Billy and | 19 | | Debra Duffield, Brenda and James Bowen, George A. and Shannon | 20 | | Keckler, Lisa and Pat West, Keith and Sherry Reed, Craig and |
