| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Lucille Arnold Miller "Gramma Cuz" Cousin | 4 | | of Martinton, who passed away on June 1, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lucille Cousin was born on October 13, 1920 in | 6 | | London, Kentucky; her parents were George and Etta Arthur | 7 | | Arnold; she was married to LaVerne Miller from 1938 to 1963 and | 8 | | to Maurice Cousin from 1964 to 1965; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lucille Cousin farmed with her husband in | 10 | | Limestone Township; she also retired from General Foods' Gaines | 11 | | Division and had previously worked at Bear Brand Hosiery in | 12 | | Kankakee; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lucille Cousin enjoyed spending time with her | 14 | | children and their families, traveling throughout the world, | 15 | | telling stories, riverboat gambling, dancing, reading, | 16 | | crocheting, talking on the phone, and word puzzles; she was | 17 | | also a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan who tried to attend at least | 18 | | one game a year in Chicago; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Lucille Cousin was preceded in death by her | 20 | | parents; a son, Vernon Luther "Bill" Miller; 2 brothers, Welty | 21 | | (Martha) and George "Berle" Arnold; and 4 sisters, Gertrude |

| 3 | | WHEREAS, Lucille Cousin is survived by 2 sons, Richard | 4 | | Wayne (Barb) Miller and Dennis Ray (Lynne) Miller; 3 daughters, | 5 | | Phyllis Ann (Gary Billadeau) Redman, Marilyn Rose Schultz, and | 6 | | Marsha Lynn (Marlon) Gersky; 3 sisters, Dora, Dorothy, and | 7 | | Mardene Arnold; a brother-in-law, George Wingerter; her best | 8 | | friend, Pearle Peterson; and 22 grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 11 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Lucille Arnold Miller | 12 | | "Gramma Cuz" Cousin; and be it further
