| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Marion Lloyd Taulbee of Colona, who | 4 | | passed away on May 27, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee was born in Keysville, Missouri to | 6 | | Blaine and Mary (Hatcher) Taulbee on February 13, 1934; he | 7 | | married Shirley Beverlin in East Moline on December 31, 1955; | 8 | | he served in the U.S. Army; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee worked for the former International | 10 | | Harvester Farmall in Rock Island until 1986; following | 11 | | retirement, he read the water meters in Colona for 11 years; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee loved mowing his lawn on his riding | 14 | | lawn mower, solving puzzles, and spending time with his | 15 | | children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; he was | 16 | | mechanically inclined and could fix anything; he was known for | 17 | | his great sense of humor and always having a smile for | 18 | | everyone; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee was preceded in death by his | 20 | | great-grandson, Shawn Star; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Lloyd Taulbee is survived by his wife of 64 years, | 2 | | Shirley; his children, Alan (Mary) Taulbee, Lisa (Craig) | 3 | | Tillman, Kari Taulbee (Ken Unger), Brian Taulbee, and Scott | 4 | | (Lori) Taulbee; his 12 grandchildren; his 17 | 5 | | great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Shirley Winthurst, Tom | 6 | | Taulbee, and his twin brother James "Floyd" (Lois) Taulbee; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Marion Lloyd Taulbee and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
