| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Leroy Fitzgerald of Huntley, who passed | 4 | | away on November 17, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was born to Michael and Amelia | 6 | | (Drendel) Fitzgerald on April 26, 1927; at the age of 8, he | 7 | | moved with his family to a farm in Huntley, where he lived for | 8 | | 82 years; he served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955 and | 9 | | married Louise Obenauf on November 10, 1956; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was a dairy and crop farmer; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was a lifelong member of St. Mary | 12 | | Catholic Church of Huntley; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his | 14 | | parents; his infant daughter, Teresa Louise; and his sister, | 15 | | Celestine Seisser; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Leroy Fitzgerald is survived by his wife, Louise; | 17 | | his daughters, Mary (David) Reece and Ann (Paul) Ostrander; his | 18 | | sons, Michael, Edward (Shari), Dale (Lisa), and David; his | 19 | | grandchildren, Amy, Kristie, and Jennifer Reece, Jenna (Jake) | 20 | | Talbert, Bryan Ostrander, Eion and Conor Fitzgerald, and |

| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Leroy Fitzgerald, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 6 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 7 | | further
| 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 | | presented to the family of Leroy Fitzgerald as an expression of | 10 | | our deepest sympathy.
