| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert O. Marsh of Barclay, who passed | 4 | | away on March 28, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was born in Springfield to Edward and | 6 | | Elizabeth Lyons Marsh on July 29, 1942; he married Judy Miller | 7 | | on October 19, 1961; he served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to | 8 | | 1966 and earned the National Defense Service Medal; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, After his years of service, Robert Marsh worked as | 10 | | a machinist at Fiat-Allis and as a machine repair specialist at | 11 | | Bunn-O-Matic for 15 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was a lifelong resident in and around | 13 | | the Riverton area; he was a member of the American Legion and | 14 | | Country Gamblers Dance Club; he enjoyed watching NASCAR, mowing | 15 | | the grass, and spending time with his family, especially his | 16 | | grandchildren; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Robert Marsh was preceded in death by his parents | 18 | | and his sisters, Francis Bliss and Charlene Kresse; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Marsh is survived by his wife, Judy; his | 20 | | daughters, Edwina (John) Nally, Shelly (Jeff) Kinner, and Shawn |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Robert O. Marsh and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Robert Marsh as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
