| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply | 3 | | saddened to learn of the death of Orville St. Peter "Pat" | 4 | | Clavey of Waukegan, who passed away on November 20, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was born on October 3, 1932, | 6 | | in Deerfield to Harry and Marion Clavey; he married Joan | 7 | | Tessman on May 11, 1957, in St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan; | 8 | | he served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and had | 9 | | been attached to the First Marine Division; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was the coroner and sheriff | 11 | | of Lake County; after his career in law enforcement, he began | 12 | | USA Janitorial Service in Gurnee, which he owned until his | 13 | | retirement in 2000; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was a member of Gurnee | 15 | | Community Church, past commander of and 50 year member of the | 16 | | Gurnee American Legion #771, and member of Zion-Benton Moose | 17 | | Lodge #1027; he was a graduate of Brean Bible School and loved | 18 | | reading the bible, which he did every morning and night; he | 19 | | enjoyed making various objects out of toothpicks such as | 20 | | houses, motorcycles, boats, and trains; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey was preceded in death by his |

| 1 | | son, Glen and his parents, Harry and Marion Clavey; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Orville "Pat" Clavey is survived by his wife of 55 | 3 | | years, Joan; his daughter, Jean (David) Hengesh; his son George | 4 | | Clavey; his grandchildren, Christina Clavey and Daniel and | 5 | | Kimberly Hengesh; his nieces and nephews, Susan (Steve), | 6 | | Jennifer (Robert), James (Evie), Jeffrey (Mayed), John Wicks, | 7 | | and John and David Beemsterboer; his brother, Harry "Ted" | 8 | | (Lorraine) Clavey; his sisters, Alyce (Joseph) Beemsterboer | 9 | | and Geraldine (Gerald) Wicks; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Orville "Pat" Clavey, and we extend our sincere condolences to | 13 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
