| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Ron | 4 |
| Putzell of Itasca, who passed away on January 20, 2009; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Ron Putzell moved to Itasca in 1988; he began | 6 |
| serving as a trustee on the Itasca Village Board in 1995 and | 7 |
| took on key roles on local committees, such as chairman of the | 8 |
| Community Development Committee, chairman of the Western | 9 |
| Access and O'Hare Noise Committee, and village liaison to the | 10 |
| DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference; he also sat on the board | 11 |
| of the Northern DuPage Cable Television Agency; his vision | 12 |
| helped shepherd the development, design, and construction of | 13 |
| Itasca's new municipal complex in recent years; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Ron Putzell was the owner of Data Cable Services | 15 |
| Inc. in Addison; and
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Ron Putzell enjoyed golfing and was a | 17 |
| long-standing member at the Itasca Country Club; he also was a | 18 |
| member of the Itasca Lions Club and Saint Luke's Church; he and | 19 |
| his family often took vacations in Colorado, where he dreamed | 20 |
| of retiring and pursuing his skiing hobby; and

| WHEREAS, Ron Putzell is survived by his wife, Barbara, and |

| his daughter, Lara; and
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, Ron Putzell will be remembered by all who knew and | 3 |
| loved him as a man of integrity, intelligence, and dedication | 4 |
| whose persistent honesty endeared him to everyone he met; | 5 |
| therefore, be it
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 7 |
| NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 8 |
| mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Ron | 9 |
| Putzell; and be it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Ron Putzell as an expression of our | 12 |
| sympathy.
