SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Keith Edward Loe Bailey of East
4Moline, who passed away on November 16, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was born in Moline to Horace Edward
6and Alise (Loe) Bailey on December 27, 1932; he graduated from
7United Township High School and then completed machinist
8training at the Moline Tool Company; he served in the U.S. Army
9for two years and was stationed in Korea for one year; after
10returning from Korea, he married Carol Jean Ashdown on
11December 2, 1956; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Keith Bailey worked for the Rock Island Arsenal
13for over 30 years before retiring in 1993; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was a longtime member and elder at
15Community Christian Church (Pathway Church QCA); he collected
16M&M dispensers and personalized pictures out of cartoons; he
17was a John Wayne fan; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Keith Bailey was preceded in death by his
19parents; his brother, Dennis Bailey; his sister, Joyce Hook;
20and an infant brother; and

1    WHEREAS, Keith Bailey is survived by his wife, Carol; his
2children, Alisa (Bob) Clary, Edd Bailey (Nancy Baldwin),
3Sharon (Tim) Snyder, and Keith Alan (Kelley) Bailey; his
4grandchildren, David (Katie) Clary, Jon (Mackenzie) Clary, Ann
5Clary, Damon (Natasha) Bailey, Avery Bailey (Hannah Koenig),
6Harrison Bailey, Karen (CJ) Cervantes, Danielle (Eric) Scott,
7Joe (Ashley) Snyder, Meredith (James) Wagner, Trevor Bailey,
8Parker Bailey, and Jacob Bailey; 14 great-grandchildren; and
9his sister-in-law, Barbara Bailey; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Keith Edward Loe Bailey and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Keith Bailey as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
