AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5373

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5373 on page 2, by inserting immediately below line 5 the following:

"(d) Nothing in this Section shall interfere with the review of prescriptions by the Prescription Monitoring Program's Advisory Committee. In reviewing prescriptions for chronic pain, the advisory committee members shall review the most updated clinical guidelines on treating chronic pain for the period the prescriptions were written."; and

on page 3, line 4, by replacing "under" with "."; and

on page 3, by deleting line 5; and

on page 5, line 26, by replacing "prescription" with "prescription"; and

on page 6, by replacing line 1 with the following: "record information under Section 316 and former Section 321"; and

on page 8, line 4, by inserting after "warranted." the following: "Upon review and approval by a licensed prescriber or dispenser, the Prescription Monitoring Program administrator or the Department's general legal counsel may release information.".
