SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Brian L. Kempf of Rock Island, who passed away on February 16, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was born to August and Gladys Muhleman Kempf in Rock Island on May 3, 1946; he graduated from Rock Island High School in 1964; he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War; he graduated from Western Illinois University; he continued his studies and received an additional degree from Black Hawk College; and

WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was employed with Handy True Value Hardware for many years; he also enjoyed working with computers; and

WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was an avid supporter and attendee of Rock Island High School sports; and

WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Willis; and

WHEREAS, Brian Kempf is survived by his brothers, Marvin (Susan) Kempf, Kenneth Kempf, and William "Bill" (Joelyn) Kempf; his many nieces and nephews; and other family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Brian L. Kempf and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Brian Kempf as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
