SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Donald G. "Don" Farr of Orion, who
4passed away on July 16, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Don Farr was born in Elmira, New York to Donald
6"Pete" and Elizabeth (Moss) Farr on April 27, 1936; he served
7in the U.S. Air Force and married Sandra Jean Gilmour in
8Wilmington on December 17, 1966; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Don Farr worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for
10many years, retiring in 2012; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Don Farr enjoyed raising and racing horses and
12loved spending time with his family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Don Farr was preceded in death by his wife,
14Sandra, and his daughter, Traci Farr; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Don Farr is survived by his children, Teri, Todd,
16Doreen, Lynn, and Donnie Farr; his grandchildren, Bryan Grimm,
17Holly Sheehan, Tyler Farr, Allen Sappington, Paige (Hunter)
18Jones, and Madison Schroeder; his great-grandchildren, Wesley
19Sappington and Harper Farr; his siblings, Elizabeth (Len)
20Richey, Marge Johns, Floyd Farr, Robert (Cindy) Farr, and Gary

1(Chris) Farr; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Donald G. "Don" Farr and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Don Farr as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
