SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Duward Fredrick Inch, who passed away
4on January 29, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Duward Inch was born in Rock Island on October 6,
61946; he was raised by his grandparents, George and Vera; he
7spent most of life living and working in the Quad Cities; he
8graduated from Rock Island High School; he served in the U.S.
9Navy on the U.S.S. Bennington; he married Linda Liphardt in
101968; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Duward Inch's banking career began by
12repossessing cars; he eventually became a vice president at
13Blackhawk Bank and Trust before retiring in 2012; his early
14jobs included Schaffers Shell and Henry's Hamburgers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Duward Inch loved 60s music and vintage cars,
16especially El Caminos; he enjoyed attending his children's and
17grandchildren's events; upon his retirement, he enjoyed
18visiting California and taking cruises with his wife; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Duward Inch was known for never meeting a
20stranger, for his booming voice, for his unbelievable
21joke-telling talent, and for his legendary 16th and 40th

1birthday pranks, which his friends both feared and celebrated;
2he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and
3grandfather; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Duward Inch is survived by his wife, Linda; his
5children and their spouses, Rebecca (David) Pilger, John Casey
6(Pamela) Inch, and Joshua (Britt Bardo) Inch; and his
7grandchildren, Zachary Pilger, Nathaniel Pilger, Riley Inch,
8and Nova Rae Inch; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Duward Fredrick Inch and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Duward Inch as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
