SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

625 ILCS 5/3-600.1 new

Amends the Special License Plates and Special License Plate Stickers Article of the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that each special license plate that the Secretary is required to issue to a second division vehicle weighing 8,000 pounds or less shall also be issued to a second division vehicle weighing between 8,001 and 10,000 pounds.

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding Section 3-600.1 as follows:

(625 ILCS 5/3-600.1 new)

Sec. 3-600.1. Special plates for Class C vehicles. Each special license plate issued under this Article that the Secretary is required to issue to a second division vehicle weighing 8,000 pounds or less shall also be issued to a second division vehicle weighing between 8,001 and 10,000 pounds.
