AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1736

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1736, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
41, as follows:
 
5on page 9, by replacing line 10 with the following:
6        "materials, instruction in alternative formats,
7        assistive technology, and"; and
 
8on page 10, by replacing line 11 with the following:
9             "(F) employ gender stereotypes; or"; and
 
10on page 12, by replacing lines 12 through 16 with the
11following:
12            "(C-5) Affirming discussion of disability and
13        respecting peers with disabilities.
14            (D) Healthy relationships, including, but not
15        limited to:

1                (i) affirming examples of diverse races,
2            ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, gender
3            identities, gender expressions, disabilities, and
4            cultures;"; and
 
5on page 16, by replacing lines 17 through 23 with the
6following:
7            "(L) Self-advocacy skills for effective
8        communication with parents or guardians, health and
9        social service professionals, other trusted adults,
10        and peers about sexual health and relationships.
11            (M) Skills to explore the roles that race,
12        ethnicity, immigration status, religious beliefs,
13        disability, sexual orientation, gender"; and
 
14on page 17, immediately below line 21, by inserting the
15following:
16            "(E-5) Affirming discussion of disability and
17        respecting peers with disabilities."; and
 
18on page 17, by replacing line 26 with the following:
19            "(H) Consent and how to give and receive consent,
20        including a discussion that includes, but is not
21        limited to, all of the following:
22                (i) Setting appropriate physical boundaries
23            with others.

2            others.
3                (iii) The right to refuse to engage in
4            behaviors or activities that are uncomfortable or

8            contact."; and
 
9on page 25, by replacing line 9 with the following:
10        "to provide alternative assignments."; and
 
11on page 34, by replacing line 4 with the following:
