AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 271

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 271 on page 1, line 5, by replacing "Section 11k" with "Sections 11k and 16.09"; and

on page 3, line 10, after the period, by inserting "In addition, a fire protection district that has a website that the full-time staff of the district maintains shall post notice on its website of all proposals to award contracts in excess of $20,000."; and

on page 3, immediately below line 25, by inserting the following:

"(70 ILCS 705/16.09) (from Ch. 127 1/2, par. 37.09)

Sec. 16.09. Notice of the time and place of every eligibility examination shall be given by the board by a publication at least two weeks preceding the examination, in one or more newspapers published in the fire protection district, or, if no newspaper is published therein, then in one or more newspapers with a newspaper of general circulation within the fire protection district.
