| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Larry W. Stranz of Bartonville, who | 4 | | passed away on June 16, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Stranz was born in Peoria County to Wilbur | 6 | | J. and Mayme (Pedze) Stranz on September 11, 1939; he graduated | 7 | | from Limestone Community High School and attended Bradley | 8 | | University; he married Patricia Seffer in Peoria on October 6, | 9 | | 1962; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Larry Stranz worked as an electrician at Keystone | 11 | | Steel and Wire Company and at Hiram Walker Distillery; he last | 12 | | worked as the facilities manager for the Peoria County | 13 | | Courthouse and retired in 2001; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Larry Stranz was a member of the IBEW Electricians | 15 | | Union and a former board member of the Peoria Airport Authority | 16 | | and Springdale Cemetery; he was a member of St. Anthony | 17 | | Catholic Church; he was very involved within Limestone Township | 18 | | and Limestone Community High School, where he was a scorekeeper | 19 | | and coach for over 50 years; he was a three-time inductee of | 20 | | the Limestone Sports Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Neve | 21 | | Harms Meritorious Service to Sports Award in the Greater Peoria | 22 | | Sports Hall of Fame; an avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending |

| 1 | | his grandchildren's games and cheering on the Chicago Cubs and | 2 | | Chicago Bears; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Larry Stranz was preceded in death by his parents | 4 | | and his sister, Lois Mae Mason; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Stranz is survived by his wife, Patricia; | 6 | | his daughters, Christine Williams and Deana Stranz; his | 7 | | grandchildren, Madison, Brody, Brayden, Bryson, and McKenna | 8 | | Williams; his sister, Loraine (Duane) Schleder; his niece | 9 | | Mardee (Tom Flaherty) Mason; and his nephew, Lonn Schleder; | 10 | | therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Larry W. Stranz and extend our sincere condolences to his | 14 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 15 | | further
