| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Cornelius L. Jackson, who passed away on | 4 | | September 17, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson was born in Oak Lawn to Adrian | 6 | | Chester and Arronis Jackson Sr. on January 3, 1989; he attended | 7 | | First Corinthian Baptist Church, where he committed to his | 8 | | faith at a young age; he attended Bogan High School and | 9 | | successfully completed the Automotive Technology Program; he | 10 | | then continued his education in Automotive Technology at ITT | 11 | | Tech; in 2009, he enrolled in the Jobs for Youth Program in | 12 | | downtown Chicago and received a certificate in Microsoft Office | 13 | | Programs; he joined the Strong Futures Program at St. Sabina | 14 | | Church in June 2016 and attended job fairs, motivational | 15 | | speaking events, and "Stop the Violence" rallies; he married | 16 | | Dangela Tripp in April 2018; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson had dreams and goals he was | 18 | | determined to accomplish; he enjoyed spending time with his son | 19 | | and attending karate competitions and field trips; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Cornelius Jackson is survived by his mother; his | 21 | | father; his grandparents, Lillie and Jesse Chester Sr., and | 22 | | Darletta Meyers; his wife, Dangela Tripp-Jackson; his son, |
