| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Dan E. Parr, who passed away on September | 4 | | 8, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Dan Parr was born
in Waukegan to Dan Parr and | 6 | | Alice Hilda (Steele) on August 22, 1925; he served in the U.S. | 7 | | Air Force as a navigator from 1944 to 1946; he married Dorothy | 8 | | Pasiewicz, and they had 54 years together and raised two | 9 | | daughters; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Dan Parr built a career in manufacturing sales; he | 11 | | retired after 38 years with
Fansteel/HK Porter; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Dan Parr met Mary (Mavon) Ellmore in Dunedin, | 13 | | Florida in 2001; he enjoyed having family and friends visit him | 14 | | in Florida and at his home at Pine Lake in
Clintonville, | 15 | | Wisconsin; at the age of 86,
he was proud to participate in an | 16 | | Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Dan Parr was preceded in death by his wife, | 18 | | Dorothy (Pasiewicz); his daughter, Geraldine Parr; his | 19 | | parents; his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Shisler; and his | 20 | | sons-in-law, Kurt McKenzie and Gerald T. Altman; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Dan Parr is
survived by Mavon; his daughter, Linda | 2 | | Parr Altman (Robert Marling); his granddaughter, Daniellinda
| 3 | | Schooley (Eric Schleef); and his great-granddaughter, Audrey | 4 | | Delilah Schleef; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Dan E. Parr and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 8 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 10 | | presented to the family of Dan Parr as an expression of our | 11 | | deepest sympathy.
