SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dennis Wayne Durham of Moline, who passed away on August 18, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Durham was born in Rock Island to Eldo and Florence (Hoffman) Durham on April 11, 1945; he married Ilene Kay Buckrop in Lancaster, Missouri on May 29, 1964; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Durham served in the United States Navy for four years and then served eight years in the United States Air Force before he was medically retired; he then worked at the Rock Island Arsenal; after retirement, he worked at Target in Davenport for four years; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Durham was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bettendorf and the Quad City Chapter No. 2 of DAV; he loved music, especially oldies, and fishing; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Durham is survived by his wife, Ilene; his children and their spouses, Dale and Julie Durham, Dwayne and Jenny Durham, LeAndrea and Troy Scott, and Kimberly and Jason Mays; his six grandchildren; and his siblings and their spouses, Ronald and Susie Durham, Betty Johnson, and Shirley and Walter Kehler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dennis Wayne Durham and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dennis Durham as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
