SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Roger James Peddle, of Lake Forest, who passed away on January 4, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was a veteran of World War II; and

WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was a longtime resident of Lake Forest, a member of the Lake Forest American Legion, and a devoted family man; and

WHEREAS, Roger Peddle was the husband of the late Jean Swarthout Peddle; the father of Linda (Nicholas) Ganzer and Laura (fiance Chris Kennett) Hansen; the grandfather of Elizabeth Gardner, Gregory Ganzer, Tyler (Liza) Hansen, Carter Hansen, and Lee (fiance Maureen Curley) Hansen; the great-grandfather of Emily, Quinn, Riley, Braden, and Alexander; the brother of Carol (Bruce) Becker, Henry (Josephine) Peddle, the late Vincent, the late Ruth Jacobs, the late Eugene (Cecelia), the late Monica Baldi, and the late Lawrence (Shirley) Peddle; and the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Roger James Peddle and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roger Peddle as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
