| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Robert L. "Bob" Morrissey Sr. of | 4 | | Libertyville, who passed away on August 21, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Morrissey was born on December 7, 1942 and | 6 | | resided in North Chicago until moving to Libertyville in 1987 | 7 | | with his family; he graduated from North Chicago High School in | 8 | | 1960 and married Mary Alice Salata; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Morrissey worked as a route salesman at Pepsi | 10 | | Cola General Bottlers in Gurnee, retiring after 42 years; he | 11 | | was affectionately known to those on his route as "Whitey"; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bob Morrissey took great pride in his house, | 13 | | meticulous care of his cars, and was an avid sports fan; he | 14 | | loved the Chicago Cubs and was awarded the honor of throwing | 15 | | out the 1st pitch at one of their games; he was also a Corvette | 16 | | owner and enjoyed polishing them to a mirror-like finish; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bob Morrissey was preceded in death by his father, | 18 | | Edward "Babe" Morrissey Sr.; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bob Morrissey is survived by his wife of 53 years, | 20 | | Alice; his children, Maureen Morrissey, Robert (Adelah) |

| 1 | | Morrissey Jr., and Kristin (Matthew) Graham; his | 2 | | grandchildren, Matthew and Marcus Graham and Chloe Morrissey; | 3 | | his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Morrissey; his brother, Edward | 4 | | (Mary Alice) Morrissey; his brother-in-law, Gerard Salata; | 5 | | many cousins, nieces, and nephews; extended family, Chad and | 6 | | Leah Shoman; and lifelong friends, Bob Miller and Tommy Koper; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Robert L. "Bob" Morrissey Sr., and extend our sincere | 11 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 12 | | him; and be it further
