SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Darren L. Evans of El Paso, who passed away on January 10, 2017 at the age of 54; and

WHEREAS, Darren Evans was born in Pontiac to Thomas and Pamela Turner Evans on January 9, 1963; he married Teri J. Breach in Nashua, Iowa on September 30, 1988; and

WHEREAS, Darren Evans was employed with the Woodford County Sheriff's Department; he retired as the Chief Deputy in 2014; he was a member of the Secor Sportsmen's Club, the Fraternal Order of Police, and was a 4-H Youth Sports Volunteer; and

WHEREAS, Darren Evans was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, sister, and granddaughter in infancy; and

WHEREAS, Darren Evans is survived by his wife, Teri; his children, Megan (Earl) Evans, Allison (Eric) Evans-Barras, Haley (Zac) Evans, and Adam Evans; his brother and sister, Eric (Dawn) Evans and Stephanie (Dan) Myers; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Darren Evans, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Darren Evans as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
