SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

705 ILCS 310/10.3 new

Amends the Jury Commission Act. Provides that any nursing mother shall be excused from jury service upon request.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning courts.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Jury Commission Act is amended by adding Section 10.3 as follows:

(705 ILCS 310/10.3 new)

Sec. 10.3. Excusing prospective jurors; nursing mothers. Any mother nursing her child shall, upon request, be excused from jury service.
