| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Gilbert A. Huber of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on October 17, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Gilbert Huber was born in Hillsboro to Carl | 6 | | Gilbert and Kathleen (Slagel) Huber on October 6, 1942; he | 7 | | served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he | 8 | | then served in the Army National Guard in Galva, and in the | 9 | | Army Reserve in Rock Island and Davenport, Iowa; he married | 10 | | Patricia Young, and later, Carol Hull in Rock Island on | 11 | | December 24, 1986; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Gilbert Huber was a machinist at the Rock Island | 13 | | Arsenal, where he also was a reserve police officer; he worked | 14 | | security at several places, including Stateville Penitentiary | 15 | | and for 17 years at the iWireless Center; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Gilbert Huber was honored to travel with the Honor | 17 | | Flight to Washington, D.C.; he enjoyed genealogy and working | 18 | | with computers; he was a member of the Honda Goldwing Club; he | 19 | | loved his many dogs and cats over the years; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Gilbert Huber was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Gilbert Huber is survived by his wife, Carol; his | 2 | | children, Deborah Huber, Jennifer (Steven) Meana, and Jay | 3 | | (Carolyn) Huber; his stepchildren, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Brands, | 4 | | Brenda (John) Nelson, and Jeremy Hull; five grandchildren; | 5 | | eight step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four | 6 | | step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Karen (Ron) Masanz; and | 7 | | his brother, Steven (Phyllis) Huber; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Gilbert A. Huber, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
