| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph Valdez of McHenry, who passed away | 4 | | on April 23, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was born in Memphis, Tennessee to | 6 | | Baldomer and Liandia (Padilla) Valdez on October 16, 1948; he | 7 | | served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1974; he | 8 | | married Lauren Priest in Wheaton on June 15, 1990; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was a member of the Veterans of | 10 | | Foreign Wars and PLAV in McHenry; he enjoyed fishing, | 11 | | gardening, taking care of his lawn, and being outside on his | 12 | | porch; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez was preceded in death by his parents | 14 | | and 5 brothers and sisters; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Valdez is survived by his wife, Lauren; his | 16 | | children, Alexander Albert, Joey Jr., Kristina, Yani | 17 | | (Danielle), and Nicole; 10 grandchildren; and 6 brothers and a | 18 | | sister; therefore, be it
