1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 653
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 653 as follows:

3 on page 1, immediately below line 21, by inserting the
4 following:
5         "(2) cultural competency training that provides tools
6     and other supports to ensure that a child welfare
7     provider's response to and engagement with families and
8     children of color are conducted or provided in a manner
9     that is responsive to the beliefs, interpersonal styles,
10     attitudes, language, and behaviors of the individuals who
11     are receiving services, and are conducted or provided in a
12     manner that has the greatest likelihood of ensuring maximum
13     success of or participation in the child welfare program or
14     services being provided;"; and

15 on page 1, line 22, by replacing "(2)" with "(3)"; and
