AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5995

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5995 on page 1, immediately below line 3, by inserting the following:

"Section 1. This Act may be referred to as Draco's Law"; and

on page 1, by replacing line 9 with the following: "prohibited.

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to willfully"; and

on page 1, line 21, by replacing "Section" with "subsection Section"; and

on page 2, line 2, by replacing "A" with the following:

"(b) A"; and

on page 2, line 12, by replacing "If" with the following:

"(c) If"; and

on page 2, immediately below line 16, by inserting the following:

"(d) A person is not in violation of this Section if the animal used by a law enforcement department or agency was used against the person in violation of the law enforcement department or agency's use of force continuum or policy.".
