AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3324

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3324 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 12-4.49 as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/12-4.49 new)

Sec. 12-4.49. Employment information; annual reports. Beginning July 1, 2016, the Department shall annually compile data on the employment information provided by all applicants in their application for benefits under the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or the medical assistance program under Article V and shall annually submit a report on such data and employment information to the General Assembly. The names of all applicants shall be kept confidential and shall not be disclosed in the annual reports submitted to the General Assembly.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2016.".
