| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 217 on page 9, by | 3 | | replacing lines 1 through 20 with the following:

Advertisement and sales; misrepresentation. | 5 | | No person or entity may, in the conduct of any trade or | 6 | | commerce, use or employ any deception, fraud, false pretense, | 7 | | false promise, misrepresentation, or the concealment, | 8 | | suppression, or omission of any material fact in advertising or | 9 | | otherwise offering conversion
therapy services in a manner that | 10 | | represents homosexuality as a
mental disease, disorder, or | 11 | | illness, with intent that others rely upon the concealment, | 12 | | suppression, or omission of such material fact. A violation of | 13 | | this Section constitutes an unlawful practice under the | 14 | | Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

The Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business | 7 | | Practices Act is amended by changing Section 2Z as follows:
