1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3861
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3861 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Procurement of Domestic Products Act is
5 amended by adding Section 10.5 as follows:

6     (30 ILCS 517/10.5 new)
7     Sec. 10.5. American-made vehicles. All motor vehicles
8 purchased, leased, or used by a State agency on or after the
9 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General
10 Assembly shall have a Vehicle Identification Number that begins
11 with the number one, the number 4, or the number 5. Nothing in
12 this Section shall require a State agency to stop using any
13 vehicle that exists in the State fleet of motor vehicles on the
14 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General
15 Assembly.

1     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
2 1, 2015.".
