AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1155

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1155, AS AMENDED,
3with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.
427, on page 24, by replacing lines 2 through 26 with the
5following:
6"is a Class A misdemeanor. A second violation of subsection
7(a), (b), (c), (d), or (f) is a Class A misdemeanor for which
8the licensee shall not be eligible for supervision, and the
9licensee's license to carry a handgun shall be suspended for a
10period of not less than 6 months, and the licensee shall be
11required to complete a training course in accordance with
12subsection (a) of Section 250-85 of this Act prior to
13reinstatement of the license to carry a handgun. A third
14violation of subsection (a), (b), (c), (d), or (f) is a Class 4
15felony.
16    (i) A violation of subsection (e) is a Class A misdemeanor
17for which the licensee shall not be eligible for supervision,
18and the licensee's license to carry a handgun shall be

1suspended for a period of not less than 6 months. A second
2violation of subsection (e) is a Class A misdemeanor for which
3the licensee shall not be eligible for supervision, and the
4licensee's license to carry a handgun shall be suspended for a
5period of not less than one year, and the licensee shall be
6required to complete a training course in accordance with
7subsection (a) of Section 250-85 of this Act prior to
8reinstatement of the license to carry a handgun. A third
9violation of subsection (e) is a Class 3 felony. A licensee
10with 3 or more violations of subsection (e)"; and
 
11on page 42 , by replacing lines 12 and 13 with the following:
12    "(c) This Section does not apply to a person granted a
13license to carry a handgun under the Family and Personal
14Protection Act."; and
 
15on page 44, by replacing lines 5 through 8 with the following:
16"person who has been issued a currently valid Firearm Owner's
17Identification Card, or, if the weapon is a handgun, a
18currently valid license to carry a handgun issued in accordance
19with the Family and Personal Protection Act. For purposes of
20this subsection, "handgun" has the same meaning ascribed to it
21in Section 250-10 of the Family and Personal Protection Act;
22or"; and
 
23on page 45, by replacing lines 24 and 25 with the following:

1"engaged in firearm safety training courses; or"; and
 
2on page 46, by replacing lines 20 through 23 with the
3following:
4"person who has been issued a currently valid Firearm Owner's
5Identification Card, or, if the weapon is a handgun, a
6currently valid license to carry a handgun issued in accordance
7with the Family and Personal Protection Act. For purposes of
8this subsection, "handgun" has the same meaning ascribed to it
9in Section 250-10 of the Family and Personal Protection Act.";

11on page 48, by replacing lines 6 through 10 with the following:
12"Class A misdemeanor. A person convicted of a"; and
 
13on page 55, by replacing lines 18 through 22 with the
14following:
15"carrying box, shipping box, or other container by a person who
16has been issued a currently valid Firearm Owner's
17Identification Card, or, if the weapon is a handgun, a
18currently valid license to carry a handgun issued in accordance
19with the Family and Personal Protection Act. For purposes of
20this subsection, "handgun" has the same meaning ascribed to it
21in Section 250-10 of the Family and Personal Protection Act.".
