AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1155

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1155, AS AMENDED, by inserting the following in its proper numeric sequence:

"Section 7. Act implementation period.

The Family and Personal Protection Act will place implementation duties and responsibilities upon the Department of State Police. The Department also must meet compliance requirements of the Illinois Auditor General's 2012 findings with respect to Department administration of the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act, and this will impact implementation of the Family and Personal Protection Act. Therefore, the Department of State Police shall implement and carry out its duties and responsibilities under the Family and Personal Protection Act commencing 180 days after the effective date of this Act.".
