| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 997
|
| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 997 on page 21, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 1 through 3 with the following: |
| 4 | | "from carrying a concealed firearm as provided in subsection |
| 5 | | (a)"; and
|
| 6 | | on page 21, by replacing lines 7 through 18 with the following: |
| 7 | | "outside of the vehicle. |
| 8 | | Nothing in this Act shall affect or prohibit the |
| 9 | | possession, carrying, or transportation of a handgun or other |
| 10 | | firearm which is possessed within a vehicle, carried within a |
| 11 | | vehicle, or transported within a vehicle and the handgun or |
| 12 | | other firearm: |
| 13 | | (1) is broken down in a non-functioning state; or |
| 14 | | (2) is not immediately accessible; or |
| 15 | | (3) is unloaded and enclosed in a case, firearm |
| 16 | | carrying box,
shipping box, or other container by a person |
| 17 | | who has been issued a currently
valid Firearm Owner's
