1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 671
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 671 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Children's Privacy Protection and Parental
5 Empowerment Act is amended by changing Section 10 as follows:

6     (325 ILCS 17/10)
7     Sec. 10. Prohibited act.
8     (a) The sale or purchase of personal information concerning
9 an individual known to be a child without parental consent is
10 prohibited.
11     (b) This Section does not apply when the sale or purchase
12 described in subsection (a) is made under a criminal
13 investigation that is otherwise lawful.
